Brexit & French Naturalisation.

Help with French administration by FormaScape.

In June 2016, the British voted by a national referendum to leave the European Union. France has an estimated 160,000 UK born (source: ONS 2017) citizens living in France and many, rather than living with the uncertainty to date of a future without reciprocal agreements on healthcare, taxation, free movement of people and many other issues, may be considering applying for French citizenship.

But it is not just Britons seeking French nationality. France’s immigrant population comprises around 8.9 per cent  (source INSEE). All those applying for French nationality will find that the required French language test (TCF, TEF, DELF B1/B2, DALF C1/C2), which they must pass in a registered test centre, is one of the vital keys to their success. Put simply, France requires that you speak French and know something of the culture and history in order to become a French citizen.

FormaScape can help prepare you for this important test as well as  for the naturalisation interview. We have professional knowledge of the test and the types of questions you may have to answer. We can also help guide you through registration and advise you of the steps you have to take and the contacts you have to make.

The types of lessons you will need are entirely dependent on your current level of French. You may, for example, benefit from intensive one-to-one lessons or immersion courses.
